A private resort from Mersing town which take about 20 minutes speed boat ride to Pulau Rawa, it is a good relaxation place. It is famous for its white beach sand which some called it Maldives of Johor. Due to it is secluded island, only the lobby has TV (all the rooms don’t have TV). The room is also quite basic with minimum electrical devices – kettle and hair dryer are not provided but thankfully there is ceiling fan and air-conditioner. It is indeed a good opportunity to be in nature.

It was a nice weekend gateway as the activities it offers is great for bonding with family/friends. It also doesn’t have too much activities which it is also a very good time to chill and relax which we really can slow down to relax and enjoy what they have (rather than chasing or going to all places in based on a long checklist).

The various activities it offers:

Sea sports activities such as kayaking, swimming, snorkelling and diving. There is a shop that rent equipment if require to use. Beside that, there two slides to use sliding into the sea. There are no sea motorized activities allowed.

Island walk: the whole island has walkable pathway. There are some areas build to let us to enjoy some sceneries such as cactus garden, hilltop view (good place to view sunrise but need to hike up), sunset strip. We are able to enjoy sea view from various areas from the island – from all sides and also on top of the island.

Food: the food served is buffet style and has a good mix of local and international food. It also doesn’t repeat during our stay. Awesomely delicious. As there is no kettle provided, we can take the water – hot or cold from the café anytime. As there is timing for food to be served, however, they don’t forbid us to enter once during each meal. We can eat and later come back anytime during the meal time to have few more rounds.

Sports activities: there is badminton court, table tennis, trampoline, go running

Bring your own: some visitors brought some small toys such as bubble blower (do check with the resort if there are some items are not allowed to bring)

Just enjoy the nature sea breeze especially at night: it nice and relaxing just sitting down (there are many chairs everywhere) to enjoy the sea breeze. It is quite enjoying to totally sit down and chat with the companion you go with.

Animal observation: there are some peacocks that live around the islands – we even spotted one white peacock. We also go to watch fishes during snorkelling and around the jetty area. We even spotted a baby shark.

Mersing

Although is a departing town to and forth from Pulau Rawa, it is not to be miss to visit this town.

Perhaps this is the place where everyone departs to the many islands, it is actually decorated nicely with arts. There is street art walk like Ipoh or Penang. There also many small details decorated with arts as well.
